Directors Meeting in Paris

From July 1-14, 2012, the Provincial Directors and Sub-Directors of the Daughters of Charity gathered in Paris along with the Director General, Fr. Patrick J. Griffin, CM. They were called together by their Superior General, Fr. G. Gregory Gay, CM for an on-going formation session which takes place every ten years.Fr. Greg participated in the two weeks of the meeting. The theme of the Assembly was: “The Provincial Director: Animating, Accompanying, and Forming the Daughters of Charity.” Sr. Evelyne Franc, DC, the Superioress General of the Daughters of Charity, and her Council also attended and contributed to the meeting. Through numerous presentations, reflections and discussions, many of the important themes of the Congregation at the service of the Company were brought forth. Celebration of the Eucharist, common prayer, and fellowship were essential elements of the time together. All was made possible through the generous support of the Company as well as the hospitality provided by the confreres at Saint Lazare.

Ceremony Kenya

On Friday morning June 8th the Sisters of the Community in Chanzo were joined by some members of the Thigio Community to pray with two young Kenyan women who were being admitted into the Company of the Daughters of Charity.

Minimum Income Standard Calculator launched

On Tuesday 1st May,The Vincentian Partnership for Social Justice and MABS National Development Ltd. launched a Minimum Income Standard calculator for Irish households. This tool will allow households to calculate the cost of a Minimum Essential Standard of Living.

Fr. Daniel O’ Leary Visit's

Today in Dunardagh we had the great joy of welcoming Fr. Daniel O’ Leary to address us.  The main theme for our day of reflection was Living Eucharistically. The day centred on an understanding of the Eucharist as incarnational, embracing the whole cosmos and all peoples.

Nature's Praise
